Entlisbergstrasse and Paradiesstrasse, 8038 Zürich

 

At the CleverKidz Forest Playgroup, the forest becomes a living classroom where children from 2 to 5 years old can explore, create and grow through meaningful, hands-on experiences. In a small and supportive group, children discover the plants, animals and changing seasons of the local forest, listen to stories, play freely and take part in carefully guided activities. They learn to build, saw, carve, make crafts from natural materials, prepare food and safely experience cooking over a fire. Walking on uneven ground, balancing on logs, climbing, carrying and working with their hands naturally support physical coordination, confidence and independence. At the same time, shared adventures encourage communication, imagination, cooperation and respect for nature.

 

Our Wednesday forest group also places a special focus on learning German. Children acquire language particularly effectively when they are active, emotionally engaged and able to connect new words directly with real objects, actions and experiences. In the forest, German is introduced naturally through movement, observation, songs, stories, conversations and practical activities. Because children can immediately see, touch and experience what is being described, new vocabulary becomes easier to understand, remember and use in everyday communication.

 

The programme takes place in all weather, allowing children to experience the forest throughout the year.
